UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) processes personal data for the purposes of promoting UK business competitiveness, to help secure overseas sales and investments and to support and develop UK inward investment. Cookies

When we provide services, we want to make them easy, useful and reliable. Where services are delivered on the internet, this sometimes involves placing small amounts of information on your device, for example, computer or mobile phone. These include small files known as cookies. They cannot be used to identify you personally.

These pieces of information are used to improve services for you through, for example:

• enabling a service to recognise your device so you don't have to give the same information several times during one task
• recognising that you may already have given a username and password so you don't need to do it for every web page requested
• measuring how many people are using services, so they can be made easier to use and there's enough capacity to ensure they are fast

You can manage these small files yourself and learn more about them through "Internet browser cookies - what they are and how to manage them”

Registration information

You must register on this UKTI event online booking website to book for the event through your registered “booking” account. Registration is required to ensure bookings are associated to you and you alone.

As a mandatory minimum we require you to register with us: your username (which does not need to be your real name), a password, e-mail address, business name, phone contact details (for the Event Managers to contact you on the day should any last minute changes be made to your booking) and your location. This information is stored securely on our database so that you do not need to re-register when you come back to the same event site.

If you wish to amend your personal profile, please log into the event website you are attending and click on the “My Profile” tab. Here you can change your various contact and location details. E-Mails sent from the booking system are mandatory to ensure you receive your booking details. These emails are only sent during the period the event is running and are not reused for any other purpose unless you have stated so in the registration sign up process.

Feedback

You can send a message to the Event Manager by selecting the “contact us” tab of the main event pages. If you are asking for information we do not already publish on the site, we will deal with your query. In doing so we may need to contact other organisations to find answers to your questions. If your question is technical, we may need to pass it to our technology supplier. In such cases we will only pass on personal data if it is necessary to do so, and we will not keep your personal data or records of our correspondence longer than necessary.

Updating your personal information

You have the right to access and correct the personal information retained by this event website. To do this, you must log into the event website using your username and password. From the grey tabs at the top of the page, choose “My Profile”.
